Chapter 01: The Calm Before the Next Storm - Starry Sky [Video/Action]

[Someone is feeling a bit adventurous and daring tonight! If you’re walking by or looking out your window of House 4, you’ll find that one misfortunate loser who just so happens to be sitting on top of the roof. For a moment, he looks a bit uneasy because plenty of bad things could happen when you’re sitting on a rooftop! But regardless, he still simply wants to check out the beautiful view. Touma will awkwardly rub the back of his head before he starts speaking.]

Um... Quick question! I'm not breaking any laws by lounging on top on a rooftop, aren't I? I don’t get a chance to do this often, so please let this spirited youth be able to treasure this opportunity as long as he can-! [Hopefully, he won’t go crashing through the rooftop and into someone’s shower or something. He shakes off that thought immediately.] Anyway… It’s good to know that the stars here are much brighter than how they are back home. Whenever you live in a city, it’s tough to appreciate how precious nature really is. [With that said, he moves onto the next subject!]

I’m not very sure how to feel about that last experiment… But Halloween is coming up soon, so we should all be on our toes for what’s gonna happen. For those who have been here for a long time, do you think you could give this speculating Kamijou-san a little insight on what has happened these past few years? If I wake up underneath a pile of treat-or-treating candy or end up getting chased by zombies, then at least I’ll know what to yell out when the random event flag raises itself.

... Is anyone else up at this time or am I simply musing to myself?

Good. I-I'll have to go shopping at some point to get some more tea... Oh, a-and return a few more of these books. [Making a mental checklist of what to do when she next goes out.]

I like to think I-I'm an adequate cook. I used to live in a dorm with my friends a-and we all used to take turns cooking. [Shouldn't take long, the water already seems to be steaming.] They all seemed satisfied a-after eating my meals so I must have been doing something right.

Heh... Adequate? I'd say that's because you're a great cook, obviously. [Why did the image of her wearing an apron pop into his head? Well, let's just shuffle that into the personal mind folder before continuing on.] No one would be eating your food if you weren't skilled at cooking, right?

Really? Y-You're saying that despite having never eaten my cooking before? Uhm, th-thank you... [Doo dee doo, waiting around... Oh, it's boiled. At last! Reaching over to grab the teapot and carry it back now.] Well they could have been eating it j-just to be nice I suppose...

.... [Touma is going to follow, but he'll make a sight annoyed expression. Even though she's holding the teapot, he'll ball up his right hand into a fist and give her a firm little thump to the top of her head. It's not too hard, but not too soft either.] ... Nodoka-san.

Ahhh! --Wh-What was that for?

[Turning around with a 'why did you even do that' expression, if that's possible. At any rate, why the thumping?!]

[SIGHS. Hands on his shoulders as he raises an eyebrow.]

You were talking like an idiot, so I hit you for being an idiot. Why the hell would you friends eat your food just to act nice?

I-I don't know?!

[Rubbing her head a little with her spare hand. It didn't hurt too much, ouch though! Walking back to her room now.]

Th-They wouldn't do that, they would be honest with me if my food was bad. So I guess they really did like it... Sorry. [Ok so maybe what she said was silly. MUST APOLOGISE FOR IT.]

[He follow with a little hand gesture out.]

You should be more confident in yourself, Nodoka-san. If they weren't your friends, then they would've pretend your food was nice when it really sucked. Just believe in your own abilities and you can do anything. You're probably a lot more hardcore at cooking than myself!

Well... [Trying to find a way around this... Nope, she's got nothing.] I guess being a l-little more confident in myself wouldn't hurt? But even so, I-I'm sure your own cooking is fantastic Touma-san!

Heh... I won't deny that I'm a great cook, but I have yet to try out Nodoka-san's cooking myself.

Uhm... M-Maybe I could cook for you sometime then? Just something small. Th-Then you can tell me what you think.

[What would she make though? Hmm. Oh, there's probably a cook book lying around somewhere in her room. Speaking of which, back in her room, Nodoka sets up the teapot with boiling water, cups and teabags. All ready~]

But then I'd like to taste some of your own cooking too. E-Especially if you say you're a great cook!

I don't think I would see any reason to pass up on Nodoka-san's cooking. If you're going to be a great wife, then you should have S+ ranked cooking skills, you know.

[Ohoho! He'll sit down properly in a seat before taking a cup to pour himself some tea. COME TO DADDY.]

Heh. I'll certainly remember to give you a taste of my Kamijou Special.

A-A-Aah, w-well uhm... Y-Yes? I suppose?

[Now she feels as though she should practice for marriage, and yet she's only 15. Terrible. Ah well, she'll wait until he's poured himself a cup before seeing to herself.]

...Kamijou Special? [Slightly unsure at that.] And what's in a 'Kamijou Special' exactly?

That's going to be a secret until you actually see it. Whenever you do, you'll be amazed. [And besides, keeping secrets makes it sound more cooler in his book.]

---!!!? [AND SUDDENLY SUPER SHOCKED EXPRESSION. It's almost like he was poisoned!]

Now that isn't fair! Th-That only makes me want to try your cooking even more!

[Smiling and giggling to herself. His cooking must be really good if he's going to talk like that about it--]

[Standing abruptly and rushing around his side of the table, watching his expression intently. Is he sick...? An allergic reaction?!]

[Touma will get up to dramatically put his hands on her shoulders. His expression is hidden within the shadows of his bangs....]

N-Nodoka-san... This is...

[And he'll look up at her with a lively expression. He's alive! He's even laughing and smiling!] --Hahaha! This is damn good tea!!
